Yesterday was Kevin's birthday. We went to the movies. I had some pretty good contraction throughout the movie. Maybe the baby sensed the excitement of Harry Potter. The contractions stopped after I took a bath. I was hoping that was it!

Kaelyn and I are enjoying a snow day! There was no way I was taking a two-year-old, alone in the car with nine-month pregnant me, to drive to town on a snowy highway in the middle of nowhere. So, we are staying home. It is still snowing out so I made the right decision.
I am washing little baby clothes and little blankets. I still have so much to do and time is going quick! I am getting ready to head upstairs and work in the nursery. I have some pictures to hang, and closets to get organized. People have been asking me what I need for the baby, but there's not much. I did order an infant carseat online the other night. That's a must have!
We have decided to name the baby Kathryn Marie Crews. We will call her Kate for short. Kate Crews. I think it's a strong name. She continues to be active. We go back to the doctor next week. I am still debating on how she should enter this world.

I just reread posts from when I was nine months pregnant with Kaelyn. I feel bad for not documenting more of this pregnancy. I am going to start writing now as this is the exciting time anyway!
I am 36 weeks today. The past nine months have gone rather quick. I am still not ready for this baby to come. Her room isn't ready, she doesn't have any clean clothes, and she doesn't even have a name! What a difference between the first and the second baby!
I am feeling okay. I have pains here and there but it's all manageable. They are estiamating that this is going to be a pretty good sized baby. My OB wants me to think about electing to have a C-section. I have never had surgery, had never even been in the hospital until I had Kaelyn, so suffice to say, the thought of a C-Section does scare me. But the risks involved with a large baby scares me too. We have a lot of thinking to do.

I had my first OB appointment today. It went very well. They did all the normal tests and then did an ultrasound. Everything looked great; the little heart was beating away. What a beautiful sight! It definitely feels more real now.

I guess it's time to start up the Baby Blog again. It's been a wild and crazy few years and still hard to believe that we have a two year old in the house.
We are expecting again. I am eight weeks along. According to my calculations, I should be due January 1. I have my first appointment with Dr. Womack in the morning so I will have more information then.
I have been feeling pretty well; a little nausea and a lot of fatigue. We just bought our first home so packing and moving hasn't helped. Soon we will be all settled in our new home and I can start thinking more about this new little life that will soon be joining our little family. It still seems surreal right now.

Kaelyn loves to watch television! Not that I want to raise a couch potato but it is nice to have a twenty minute block to myself now and then. She loves the Young and the Restless...just kidding! She is currently watching the Baby Mozart video but her favorite is Baby Beethoven. Some genious thought to put simple, bright and colorful images of toys and children to the classical composers. Voila! She is now rich and I have a happy baby. Put that into the "why didn't I think of that?" category.
Anyway, I will post a picture of Kaelyn watching her TV wearing her footie jammies. She is talking to the TV and grinning at it....so cute! She didn't fall for Kevin's trick of rewinding it and rewatching it though.
Fifteen weeks yesterday.

Boy, it's been a long time since I wrote. What can I say? I have been so busy being a mother! Everyday is a new experience. You think you get it figured out and the next day she is doing something new! Right now, I have her occupied watching the ceiling fan so I can take a few minutes and write an update.
Kaelyn was three months old on Friday the 18th. The time has gone by fast...too fast. I am trying to cherish every moment as I know soon, these baby days will be long gone. She is such a good baby. The books say that the average infant cries three to four hours a day, all added up. I don't think that she even cries for an hour. She hardly ever cries! Of course, when she does, kevin or I are right there to pick her up. They say you can't spoil a baby this young!
She has rolled over twice but I have yet to see it. I look away or go to do something and come back and she is on her stomach. She is starting the teething process as her hand is always in her mouth and she drools more and more. It won't be long before we see a little tooth poking threw.
She is starting to fuss so better see what she needs.
